摘　　要：从吴越地区民俗风气出发，家谱中的字辈排行诗和宗祠楹联是几千年来，重视门第、望族、宗法社会的特有产物之一。它以字辈排行诗的形式，借以增强“木本水源”“敬宗睦族”的民族心理感情。研究这一地方民族的心态对吴越文化的研究和应用，其影响之深是不可忽视的。According to Wu- Yue Folk customs and morals, verses of seniority among siblings of genealogy and couplets in clan halls are one of the distinctive products of a society thinking highly of family status, prominent families and patriarchal clan rules and regulations. It means to suengthen the mentalities of local nation such as the root of a matter, respect of ancestors and love of clansmen in the form of verses of seniority among siblings. The study of the mentalities of the local nation has profound influence on the study and practice of Wu - Yue Culture.
