摘　　要：介绍GB 8918—2006《重要用途钢丝绳》的制订过程和原则,并与GB/T 8918—1996,ISO 3154:1988,ISO2408:2002进行对比,指出在钢丝绳分类、材料、技术要求、直径公差、长度允差、拆股实验、镀锌层、伸长率等方面的异同,并对产生差别的原因进行说明。To introduce the working-out course and fundamental of GB 8918-2006 Wire Ropes for Important Use. The similarities and differences between GB 8918-2006 and GB 8918-1996, ISO 3154 ： 1998, ISO 2408：2002 are pointed out from such aspect as the classification of wire rope, materials, technology requirements, diameter tolerance, length franchise, dismantle strand test, galvanizing coat and elongation, and the causes for the differences are explained.
