摘　　要：2005年11月7日,“中国边疆考古学术讨论会”在成都召开。此次会议由教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地吉林大学边疆考古研究中心，四川大学、西藏大学中国藏学研究所共同举办，旨在进一步推动边疆考古学向纵深发展。促进边疆考古学界交流与协作。会议收到论文及论文提要50余篇，来自我国大陆及香港地区各高校、省、市、自治区考古研究所、民族研究所等近50余所学术机构的120名代表出席会议。The first session of the ＂Symposium on the Archaeology of China Borderland＂ invited a lot of scholars active on the forward position of borderland archaeology to an extensive discussion of the archaeology of the inland and coastal regions of China. The subjects involved Tubo and the Silk Road, the archaeology of northern borderland, the ethnography and archaeology of southwestern China, ancient races in southwestern China and molecular archaeology, and the theories and methods of borderland archaeology. The symposium embodied intensively the rich accomplishments recently obtained in borderland archaeology and its newest developmental tendency, which heralds that a new pattern and new fields will be opened in China borderland archaeology of the new century.
