摘　　要：本文较系统地分析了社会转型期我国农村治安稳定工作面临的突出问题及挑战,在此基础上探讨了社会主义新农村建设对促进农村治安稳定所提供的新契机。This paper systematically analyzes prominent issues and challenges faced by the work of public security and stability of Chinese rural area during the period of social transformation. It then discusses new opportunities of maintaining the public security and stability of rural area provided by constructing the socialist new countryside.
