更快、更高、更强,还须更美——从美学的角度审视奥林匹克格言

摘　　要：奥林匹克格言:“更快、更高、更强”是顾拜旦引用巴黎阿奎埃尔修道院院长亨利.迪东在指导学生户外运动时,鼓励学生的一句口号。格言既涵盖了体育项目运动的特点,也涵盖了奥林匹克的精神。随着对体育运动发展深入研究,“更快、更高、更强”蕴含的美的意念凸现,更美成为格言的一部分是水到渠成。The Olympic Motto is ＂Faster, Higher, Stronger＂, which Coubertin quoted from what Henri Dinon, dean of Arcueil College in Paris, said to encourage his students while he was instructing them in the outdoor games. This phrase embodies the feature of sports, and as well as the Olympic spirits. With the further studies about the development of sports, the aesthetics implied in the motto Faster, Higher, Stronger is coming into view. And ＂More aesthetle＂ will become the part of this well- known motto just like ＂Success will come when eonditions are ripe.＂
