摘　　要：提出一种适用于ＡＴＭ网络的可变比特率分层编码新算法，称为运动补偿子带分层视频编码．它能克服ＡＴＭ网络中信元丢失造成的图像质量下降，实现高质量的视频通信．模拟结果表明：这种新算法比现有的同类算法有更好的性能．This paper presents a new variable bit rate layered coding algorithm for ATM network.This type of algorithm is called motion-compensated subband layered coding algorithm. I t can compensate -picture degradation caused by cell loss,thus a high quality video communiction is realized. Simulation results show that this new algorithm has better performance than conventional ones. The coding algorithm and simulation results are given.
