摘　　要：分析了实验室教学标本(岩石、矿物、古生物)采用传统记账式管理方法存在的不足之处,阐述了建立数据库管理系统的必要性。介绍了利用Visual FoxPro数据库技术研发“矿物、岩石、古生物标本数据库管理系统”,从而实现对实验室教学标本进行科学化、规范化、信息化管理,提高实验室的管理水平和服务水平。This paper analyzed the disadvantages of the traditional method to manage the teaching samples, such as mineral, rock and ancient biology, in laboratory, and expatiated on the necessity of establishing DBMS, and introduced the ＂DBMS about mineral, rock and the fossil of ancient biology＂ by using the technique of database, Visllal FoxPro. So we can manage the teaching sample in laboratory in a scientific, normative and informational way. It also can improve the management and service in laboratory.
