摘　　要：针对水电厂泵起动过程中采用传统的降压起动方法仍产生较大的起动电流,结合水电厂泵起动控制的特点和磁控高压电动机软起动的工作原理及结构特点,介绍了磁控软起动装置的设计,通过在水电厂泵控制中的应用证明磁控软起动器能改变电动机的起动特性,保护所拖动的机械设备,更能降低起动电流,减小电动机起动对电源系统的冲击,是理想的电动机降压起动选择.The traditional step - down starting of water pump brought out larger start - current in the course of starting for water pump. Combined with the control characteristic of starting for water pump and the work principle and the structure characteristic of magnetic control soft starter, its design was introduced. The application on water power station was proved： the start characteristic of motor was improved, the draged machine facilities were protected, the start - current of motor was reduced and the impact for power supply system was reduced. So it will be perfect to choose step - down starting of water pump.
