摘　　要：大型城市项目具有城市事件特殊性和突然性的特征,会对城市原有功能、环境和运转秩序产生一定的冲击,并存在着容纳和对抗的矛盾;对于地区发展、文化延续来说,大型城市项目的建设往往要经历一个“强行割断”和“强行注入”的过程,应予以避免。2010世博会将为上海会展业的快速成长提供空间和催化剂,为城市公共生活的升级提供载体,使上海成为数字化、信息化城市的专业中心。Large urban projects are characterized by the particularity and suddenness of urban events which may cause certain impact on the existing fucntion, environment and operation order of the city. Meanwhile there also exists the contradiction between acceptance and opposition. For regional development and cultural extension, the construction of large urban projects usually undergoes a process of ＂forced segmentation＂ and ＂forced injection＂, which should be avoided. The Shanghai 2010 World Expo will provide space and a catalyst for the fast development of the exposition industry in Shanghai and a carrier for upgrade of urban public life, making Shanghai a digitalized and informationalized professional urban center.
