On Culture Teaching in ELT

摘　　要：The research of culture teaching in ELT refers mainly to three aspects： the necessity to teach, what to teach and how to teach. This article briefly introduces the relation between culture and ELT, indicating the importance of culture teaching in ELT in China. It also states the approaches adopted to culture teaching and approaches to cross-culture awareness, expounding that the final objective is to achieve the language acquisition of English-learners through culture teaching.
