摘　　要：Jas Per软件是最新的静态图像压缩标准JPEG2000的实现,它提供了一种表示图像的方法,可以处理图像数据以及以各种格式输入输出。文章介绍了JasPer概况,特点,分析了软件核心Jas Per library,详细地讨论了Jas Per的应用,并利用软件得出在JPEG2000中,小波变换分解层次为5或者6的时候压缩效果(PSNR)相对最优;代码块越大,压缩效果(PSNR)越好。最后指出了JasPer软件不足的地方,提出了改进的方案。Jasper is a software based on JPEG2000. It provides a means for representing images, and facilitates the manipulation of image data and the import ＆ export of such data in many formats. In this paper, it introduces the feature and analyzers the software core--JasPer Library. Then we discuss its application in detail and find that when the decomposition level is five or six, the quality （PSNR） of image compression is higher and when the code block size is bigger, the quality （PSNR） of image compression is higher. Last, we point out the defects of JasPer and give many improved suggestions.
