A Contrastive Study of Incorrespodence between English and Chinese

摘　　要：Macrolinguistically speaking, language is a system of arbitrary symbols used for human communication. However, from a microscopic viewpoint, every language is uniquely different. Absolute correspondence is rarely seen in language rules and speech rules between any two languages, especially between Chinese and English. This paper makes a contrastive study of incorrespondence between English and Chinese in the following aspects： at word level, at syntactic level, and at pragmatic level.
