摘　　要：The Woman Warrior by contemporary American writer Maxine Hong Kingston depicts a young girl＇s tough search for self-identity. In order to manifest the hardship and complication of the struggle, Maxine employs ghost images to represent a Chinese American girl＇s experiences. This research paper aims to elucidate the ghost images by arguing that they symbolize the heroine＇s rootless wandering in cultural and sexual identity.
