摘　　要：Like all modem writers, Porter always structured her stories in her own original fashion： a lot of interior monologues and the modem stream-of-consciousness techniques are frequently used; words are often run together, with no capitalization and no proper punctuation; sentences are not always clearly indicated, many long ones are pushed together in peculiar ways In this article, her styles, especially her objectivity, clarity, irony and subtlety are chiefly discussed.
