Take Advantage of Multimedia for Medical English Teaching

摘　　要：This paper is my humble opinion on why multimedia should be integrated into the teaching of English for medical purpose （EMP） and how we can make the best use of IT （information technology） in EMP teaching. By combining large amount of medical resources with the content of textbook, computerize teaching material can be produced In which, graphics, pictures as well as animations and flashes are used to present ideas, demonstrate ＂hard-to-understand＂ concepts, and more, links provided to explore current data on the web concerning given medical knowledge. It is shown here the multimedia environment provides us a new and desirable approach to enhance the delivery and interactivity of medical linguistic course.
