摘　　要：城市广场体育文化是指人们在城市广场参与体育文化活动时所体现出来的一种物质的、精神的总和。主体的多元性、内容的丰富性、参与的非强制性是它的主要特点。它具有改善城市居民生活方式、提高城市人口综合素质、丰富城市文化内涵、推进城市文化创新等功能。我国城市广场体育文化日益表现出一种平民化、生活化、社会化的趋势。要根据一定的原则针对已经出现或有可能出现的问题,进行城市广场体育文化建设。The sport culture in city square means a mater and spirit manifested in the sports culture activities on city square. Plural main body, rich content and the participation non-compulsory are its main characteristics. It can improve the city people life style, improve the urban population synthesis quality, enrich civil culture connotation and advance city culture innovation, and so on. It increasingly shows a civilian-oriented, life-oriented, community-based trend in our country. We must carry on its reconstruction according to a certain principle and the problem which has appeared or possible appear.
