摘　　要：语言和文化密切相关。一方面,语言是文化的基石,在文化中起着重要作用;另一方面,文化影响、塑造着语言。对中英文语言禁忌的探讨能揭示中西方国家的文化差异,更好地扫除交流上的障碍。Language and culture are closely related. On one hand, language is the base of culture, and plays an important role in culture; on the other hand, culture influences and shapes language. Studying on taboos in both English and Chinese can show the culture differences, and make it smoother to communicate.
