摘　　要：大学、特别是名牌大学,对于一座城市、地区或国家的经济、文化、文明的发展推动是显著的。长三角常州地区基础教育实力较强,而高等教育的规模和层次却与常州在全国重要经济城市的地位不很相称。常州要在未来十多年里率先建成创新型城市,必须加快建设自己的名牌大学。University, especially famous university has remarkable effects on the development of a city, local and national economy, culture and civilization. In despite of the fact that the elementary education in Changzhou is very strong, the scale and level of higher education are not equal with its important status of national economy in China. Hence, a famous university must be constructed rapidly if an innovative city should be built in Changzhou firstly in the coming ten years.
