摘　　要：通过调研,从地方经济环境、图书馆管理体制、文献资源建设、专业队伍建设、图书馆业务发展、图书馆服务、图书馆自动化和数字化发展等方面,对四川省公共图书馆现状展开分析,并与东部和西部其他地区以及发达国家图书馆事业加以比较。由此所作的评估和结论,为改革图书馆管理体制和改进图书馆服务,发展四川省公共图书馆事业,提供了依据和参考。This article investigates a lot of kinds of aspects which are local economical condition, management system of the libraries, the construction of literature resources, the group of librarians, the development and service of the libraries, as well as library automation and digitized development condition. It analyses situation of Sichuan public libraries, also compares them with libraries of east and west others area of China and developed countries. Obtain the appraisal and conclusion that provides the basis and reference for reform management system and improve service of the library and develop the enterprise of Sichuan public libraries.
