摘　　要：介绍2种评定奶牛维持净能需要(NEm)的方法及其优缺点;并分析了造成近20年荷斯坦奶牛NEm提高的原因。The review introduced two approaches used to determine the net energy requirement for maintenanee（NEm） of dairy cattle and compared their merits and defects, and summarized the factors contributing to increasing NEm of Holstein dairy cattle during the last two decades.
