摘　　要：简要介绍了《刽子手之歌》的创作过程和故事梗概,分析了“刽子手”的双重含义,描述了主人公吉尔摩凄怆的心路历程,进而阐述了尊严对每个成员及整个人类的重要价值。Based on expounding the significance of death penalty for punishing criminals and taking the executioner for an example to decode its double meanings, this thesis draws the conclusion that the executioner has punished the criminal and uphold justice in carrying out the execution. Finally this thesis expounds the issue of how the murderer Gary Gilmore compensated his crime by way of death and to the greatest extent he safeguarded his dignity.
