摘　　要：运用文献法、数理统计法、比较分析法等，在全面分析福建省第8～12届运动会田径比赛成绩的基础上，从莆田省运会田径总体竞技实力、金牌及优势项群入手，全面分析莆田省运会田径竞争力。研究表明：莆田田径总体实力居全省第一方阵，具有明显的竞争实力，但总体实力男强女弱，并出现了不同程度的滑坡，优势项群由径赛为主逐渐转换为以田赛为主。Based on the analysis of results from No. 8 to No. 12 provincial sports meetings as well as the study of competitive capability, numbers of gold medals and superior events of athletics in Putian, this paper intends to have a complete research on the competitive capability of athletics in Putian, with the help of the methodology of philology, mathematical statistics and comparative law. The research says that the athletics strength of Putian ranks top in our province, bearing noticeable competitive capability. However,in the whole, male athletes are superior to female athletes with retrogression in some degree. Meanwhile, the superior events have shifted from track events to field ones.
