摘　　要：对下一代网络的发展进行了讨论。近年来,随着数据业务的爆炸性增长,对带宽的需求更加迫切,对网络功能的要求也越来越多。下一代网络将是基于软交换系统的通信网络。探讨了下一代网络的基本概念和特点,对软交换系统进行了讨论,对下一代网络的智能化进行了分析。指出传统光通信网络向下一代光网络演进的步伐正在加速。在下一代网络中,对电信网来说,服务质量必须保证。最后,提出在下一代网络中,多媒体化占据着重要地位。It centers around the network of the next generation. Coming along with the explosive increase of data services in recent years are the urgent requirements for broadband and growing functions for network. The next generation network will be a communication network based on soft-switch system, which leads to the discussion of basic concepts and characteristics, soft-switch system, as well as the intelligent network. The shift from traditional optical network to the next generation is being speeded up with the QoS for telecommunication network guaranteed. The next generation network features multimedia services.
