摘　　要：城市的兴起和发展是人类社会发展过程中的一个重要现象。根据社会经济发展水平的不同状况,可将其分为古代城市、中世纪城市、近代城市和现代城市。随着工业革命浪潮的到来,有大量外来人口涌入城市,形成了城市化现象。认识城市的发展规律,总结其他国家和地区城市化发展过程中的经验教训,将有利于我国的城市化建设快速发展。The rise and development of city is a great phenomenon during the developing process of human society. According to the different levels of social economic development, cities can be divided into the ancient cities, the middle age cities, the modem cities and the contemporary cities. Along with the advent of the Industrial Revolution, a mass of non-native populations welled up into the city , and thus formed the urbanized phenomenon. It will be beneficial to accelerate our urbanization construction if we know about the city development rules and summarize the experiences and lessons of urbanization development from other countries and areas.
