摘　　要：党的十六大报告,尤其是十六届四中全会的决定明确提出构建社会主义和谐社会。构建社会主义和谐社会是全面落实科学发展观,促进我国经济社会协调发展全面进步,实现全面建设小康社会宏伟目标的必然要求。本文在分析社会主义和谐社会的科学内涵与时代背景的基础上,明确提出了当前社会不和谐现象以及如何构建社会主义和谐社会。The 16th National Congress of Communist Party of China （16th NCCPC）, especially the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of CPC, has clearly put forward that the socialist harmonious society should be constructed. Constructing the socialist harmonious society is the necessary requirement of the wide application of the concept of scientific development, promotion of the all-round advancement of economy and society, and realization of the great goal of fully constructing a well-to-do society. Based on analyzing the scientific connotation of the socialist harmonious society and the background of the age, this paper clearly points out some unharmonious phenomena of the present society and puts forward how to construct the socialist harmonious society.
