摘　　要：运用区域经济学和产业经济学的相关理论,在探讨西部特色经济的内涵与特征的基础上,提出了以特色资源为基础、以特色产品为核心、以特色产业为龙头、以特色技术为依托的西部特色经济体系的内容,以及构建这一体系的基本思路,对于全面提高西部地区的国民收入,实现人口、资源和环境的可持续发展具有重要的理论和现实意义。By applying the theories of regional economics and industrial economics, based on a profound research of the connotation and features of the characteristic economy in the western regions of China, this paper put forward a basic and systematic construction pattern for the economic development in the western regions. The construction of characteristic economy in the western regions should based on its characteristic resources, focused on its character- istic products, with its characteristic industries as locomotive and its characteristic technologies as support so as to improve the over-all economic development in the regions. The construction of the pattern is not only theoretically but also practically significant for a sustainable development of the human and environmental resources in the western regions of China.
