摘  要:“第三者效果”研究是媒介效果领域的一个重要课题,戴维森之后的学者对第三者效果进行了多方研究,美国的第三者效果研究已有二十余年,其发展轨迹可大致划分为三个阶段,基本形状呈“高-低-高”的马鞍型。我国的第三者效果研究的状况极不平衡:香港、台湾的传播研究主要受美国影响,研究者多在美国受过训练,特别注重主流的量化分析,因而他们的第三者效果研究要先于内地学者。目前,该课题的研究中还存在诸多问题,如研究假定的媒介效果过分广阔和抽象,研究者对“第三者”概念的假定相当宽泛且同质,把媒体对事物的描述等同于被描述的事物本身等,因而还存在巨大的研究空间。"The third-person effect" research is an important topic in the field of media effects. Scholars after Davison have carried out research of "the third-person effect" from different perspectives. America's third-person effect research has a history of more than 20 years, the development of which can roughly be divided into three stages with the basic shape being the saddle type of "high-low-high". China's research of "the third-person effect" is rather imbalance& the dissemination studies in Hong Kong and Taiwan are mainly influenced hy the U.S.. Most of the researchers have received training in the U.S., and they pay special emphasis on the quantitative analysis of the mainstream. Therefore, their research of the third-person effect is more advanced than that of mainland scholars. At present, there are still many problems in the study of this topic. For example, the hypothetical medium effects of the research are too broad and abstract; the researchers" assumption of the concept of "the third-person" is rather general and homogenous; media's description of the ohject is considered to be the same as the object that is described. Thus there is still much room left for further study.
