摘　　要：社会主义新农村建设是一个全面、系统的工程,体育事业则是社会主义新农村建设过程中投资最少,见效最快的一个工程。改革开放20多年来,我国的综合国力得到显著增强,国民生活水平得到快速提高,体育活动成为了衡量国民生活质量的一个重要指标。尤其现阶段中央提出加快建设社会主义新农村这一伟大决定,研究河南省农民体育的现状和对策有很重要的现实意义。The construction of socialist new rural areas is a comprehensive and systematic project, while the sport business is a project of less input and promise quick return during the construction of socialist new rural areas, Since the twenty yeats of adopting the policy of opening and reforming, our comprehensive national strength has been strengthened remarkably and people＇s living standard has been improved rapidly, thus sports become an important index for evaluating people＇s living quality. At the present phase, central committee of the communist party has decided to hasten the construction of a new socialist rural areas, it has great significance to investigate the status quo of sport activity for farmers in Henan province.
