《南京大屠杀史料集》的学术价值与政治意义

摘　　要：侵华日军南京大屠杀事件已过去了70年,然而,日本政府至今对那场给中国和亚洲人民带来深重灾难的侵略战争不能有正确的认识,也从未向中国政府和人民正式道歉;日本的右翼势力则竭力美化侵略战争,否认南京大屠杀的事实。因此,中国学者有责任揭示侵华战争中日本暴行的真相。由南京大学历史学者担纲编写的《南京大屠杀史料集》的公开出版,就是对日本政府对待侵略战争态度的严正批判和对日本右翼势力否认南京大屠杀事实的有力回击。该书已出版的28卷共计1500万字的史料包括了来自加害者、受害者和第三方的各种史料,后续的20卷将在2007年出齐。该书必将产生深远的影响。70 years have passed since the ferocious Nanjing Massacre occurred. However, the Japanese government fails to have a right attitude towards the war which was lunched by Japanese militarists and brought untold sufferings to Chinese and other Asian people and never made a formal apology to the Chinese government and people. Japanese right wing made great efforts to gloss over the ag- gressive war and deny the existence of Nanjing Massacre. Chinese scholars, therefore, have the responsibility to expose the atrocities committed by Japanese troops during the war. The publication of A Collection of Historical Materials Relating to Nanjing Massacre （with Zhang Xiangwen from Nanjing University as its chief editor） is a sharp criticism of Japanese government for its wrong attitude towards the war and a hit-back to the right wing~ denial of Nanjing Massacre. The collection （with 28 volumes and 15 million Chinese characters） includes accounts of the atrocity by perpetrators, victims and the neutral side. The rest 20 volumes axe to be published in 2007. Its impact will surely be felt.
