摘　　要：改革开放时期,邓小平围绕着“怎样做一个合格的共产党员”,在坚持理想信念;坚持勤奋学习;坚持党的根本宗旨;坚持勤奋工作,发挥先锋模范作用;遵守党的纪律,维护党的团结统一;坚持“两个务必”等方面,对共产党员保持和发扬先进性的问题,进行了全面、系统、深刻的阐述。深入学习这些论述,对于理解和把握胡锦涛同志关于新时期共产党员保持先进性的六条基本要求,具有直接的帮助和指导作用。In the new era of reform and opening- up, Deng Xiaoping made a complete, systematic and profound discussion on keeping and promoting the advanced nature of CPC from aspects of sticking to ideal and belief; keeping diligent learning and industrious working; sticking to the fundamental purpose of the Party; giving full play of the pioneer and model role of the Party members; observing the Party principle and maintaining the solidarity and unity of the Party; and always bearing in mind the 'Two Musts'. Those mainly answered the question of how to become a qualified member of CPC. The profound learning of those scientific statements will directly help and guide the correct understanding and overall grasp of President Hu's six basic demands of keeping the advanced nature of CPC members in new era.
