摘　　要：灌木具有防风固沙、保持水土、改良土壤及生物量大、饲用营养价值高等生态经济价值。众多灌木品种是西部干旱半干旱地区极其重要的植被恢复与重建的资源,应在西部大开发的生态保护与建设中得到足够的重视。This article elaborated important value of shrub vegetation semi-arid and arid region in the west of China through analyzing ecoe-economic value of shrub vegetation. Shrub resources have ecological and economic value because they slow down wind speed, fix sand, and contain top soil, increase soil fertile, accumulative high biomass and keep high nutrition for rising animal, a lot of shrub species are very important material for ecological rehabilitation and ecological restoration. Shrub species should be researched carefully in future.
