摘　　要：讨论了弧长增量法的基本思想与发展现状，提出了建立正交约束方程来实现对非线性问题解曲线的跟踪。此方法具有几何意义明确、控制方程简单，以最快的速度迭代收敛等优点，有效地应用于曲壳的几何非线性有限元分析中。The basic thinking and current situation of the arc increment method are discussed briefly and an orthogonal increment approach to track solution curves of nonlinear problems is suggested. The method has many advantages such as clear and definite geometric sense,simpler control equations and best convergency etc. which may be applied effectively to geometric nonlinear analysis of shell structrue by curved finite element.
