摘　　要：扩展了当代图书馆的涵义,并简要归纳和表述了当代图书馆的基本属性、根本宗旨和社会职能。首次提出图书馆员生产这个新概念,对其性质、意义、测算和制度规范加以初步探讨。The paper broadens and extends the implication of contemporary library, and briefly relates the basic quality, essential purpose and social function of contemporary library. Furthermore, it also puts forward the new conception of librarians＇ production, and discusses the quality, meaning, calctdation and stan. dardization of librarians＇ production system.
