区域经济建设与经贸英语课程定位

摘　　要：区域经济发展是市场经济发展的必然结果,随着经济发展的区域化,高等教育体制转轨成为必然,培养复合型人才,服务于区域经济建设已是人们的共识。培养复合型外语人才首先要明确两个原则:一是要以特色立足,以特色求发展;二是加强与地方政府的联系,明确为区域经济建设服务的指导思想。高等院校理应为国家的经济建设和社会发展服务,但为国家服务必须通过为地方服务体现出来,如果不能很好地为区域发展服务,很难说为全国服务,也就难以体现出办学特色。因此,培养复合型外语人才应与本区域保持密切联系。经贸英语专业课程的设置要根据区域自身特点,本着服务本区区域经济,满足本区域大众需要的原则,积极开设本区域经济、文化发展迫切需要的课程,并充分利用区域资源,努力开展项目合作,推动该区域系统各部分的协调发展。The development of regional economy is the inevitable product of the market economy. Along with the regionalization of economic development and the inevitable trend of higher education system transformation, it has been the mutual recognition to train versatile workforce and serve the regional economic development. Two principles must be made clear beforehand in training versatile foreign language personnel： the first is to base upon characteristics and pursue development. Facing the opportunity and challenges brought by joining WTO, it is necessary to reexamine and formulate the goal and direction of raising versatile foreign language personnel to meet the needs of regional economy development. The second is to strengthen the relation- ships with local authority and make clear the guidelines of serving the regional economy development. Colleges and universities should serve the national economic construction and the social development, but the service for the nation must be implemented through serving the region, otherwise to serve the country is difficult, let alone preserving school characteristics. Therefore, training the versatile foreign language personnel is supposed to keep close contact with the region. On the basis of the regional characteristic, and in line with the principle of serving the regional economy and the needs of the public, by positively opening some courses urgently needed by economic and cultural development of its own region, the offering of business English cour- ses should make full use of regional resources, diligently carry out the project cooperation, and initiatively impel the coordinated development of each sector of the regional system.
