摘　　要：民国前期湖南灾荒频仍,几乎无年不灾。其间以辛酉年的春荒尤为严重。春荒给湖南带来了空前浩劫。饥民四处逃荒,饿莩载道,社会动荡不安。对于此次春荒的赈济,湖南省内外虽作了一些努力,但总起来看疲软乏力,收效有限。Numerous natural disasters took place in Hunan in the early stage of Republic of China, and the year of Xinyou saw the worst of them, which brought unprecedented catastrophe to Hunan： the famine victims ran away and died everywhere, and the society was unstable. Although the province made efforts both inside and outside, yet, with limited effects, they were weak on the whole.
