ON A NEW FLUORESCENT EARTHWORM FROM CHINA (OPISTHOPORA: MEGASCOLECIDAE, ACANTHODRILINAE)

摘　　要：1987年在江苏省无锡县采到小型发光蚯蚓,经鉴定,为一新种—无锡微蠕蚓(Microscolex wuxiensis)本种与燐微蠕蚓[(Microscolex phosphoreus(Ant.Dug,)]虽近似,但仍有明显不同。During January and November 1987, some fluorescent earthworms were collected from Wuxi, Jiangsu, which are distributed in the special place of Hua Zhuang Town. They are found new to science and a new species is erected for it. The new species is described as follows.Microscolex wuxiensis sp. nov. (figs. 1-8)Length 16-24.5 mm, Diameter 0.9-1.2 mm, segments 40-61. Prostomium 1/2 epilobous. Translucent and reddish. Four pairs setae per segment. Each pair setae spaced widely. On precHtellar segments aa=1.5-1.8ab<bc=cd, ab≤cd, dd=2-2.5cd, dd = l/3-2/5 body circum ference apart. On posterior segments, ab<aa<cd, dd = 2.5-2.8cd, dd = l/3 body circumference. Clitellum swollen, in XIII-XVII ( = 5), ring-shaped, smooth except there is a) (-shaped groove on the ventral side of XVII. Setae present on the ventral side of clitellum. Gopulatory setae on XVII which long, thin and broke off usually. One pair spermathecae in 8/9 intersegment. Ne-phridiopores one pair at anterior edge near intersegmental furrow of each segment, between setae b and c, nearer to c. Male and prostatic pores open in common on XVII, between a, b copulatory setae. One pair female pores open on XIV, before setae a.Septa 5/6-11/12 thickened. Pharyngeal glands developed to Ⅷ or Ⅸ. No typhlosole, caeca, gizzard etc. Oesophageal pouches in VIII, IX indistinct and feebly developed. Intestine beginning in XVI. Hearts 3 pairs, the last pair in Ⅻ. Front nephridia larger than post. Two pairs free testes and funnels, in Ⅹ, Ⅺ. Seminal vesicles two pairs in Ⅺ, Ⅻ, developed and distinct. Prostate glands one pair, long mass-shaped, in ⅩⅦ. Ovaries in usual situation. One pair spermatheca in Ⅸ with 2 diverticula or 1 usually.Holotype: WX1-1, length 19 mm, diameter 1 mm, segments 40. Setae in front of clitellum aa = 1.8ab, ab<bc, ab = cd, dd = 2.5cd, dd=2/5 body circumference, and post of clitellum ab< aa<cd, dd = 2.8cd, dd=l/3 circumference apart. Copulatory setae length 100-106μ. Para-type: WX1-2, WX2. All types of the new species are deposited in
