摘　　要：于1957年2月27日在北京图书馆训练班上的演讲。在演讲中,指出图书馆学研究的对象、任务和方法,阐述图书馆的意义、作用和工作内容,探讨图书馆学的研究领域及内容体系、图书馆学分支发展的不平衡性、图书馆学与目录学的关系,辨析图书馆学与图书馆实践的依赖关系。This article was a lecture given by Liu Guojun in training classes of Beijing Library on February 27,1957, In this lecture, he indicated the objects, tasks and methods of research of library science, and expounded the significance, role and working contents of library. He discussed the research fields and content system of library science, the imbalance of the development of library science branches, the relations between library science and bibliography, He also analyzed the dependent relationship between library science and library practice.
