摘　　要：促进社会信息公平、保障公众信息权利是图书馆与生俱来的使命之一,图书馆应在引导公众阅读、建设阅读社会中发挥主导作用。具体对策包括:开展长期的阅读推动活动、提供方便服务、引导网络阅读、加强书目与书评工作、培养儿童早期阅读和建立阅读基金会。The paper points out that libraries should take more responsibilities in promoting the public reading and the construction of reading society from 6 aspects： developing long-term reading-promoting movements, providing convenient services, piloting the reading on the Internet, strengthening bibliographical services and book review, fostering children＇s early reading ability and establishing reading fundations.
