摘　　要：以影响城市形态特征的三次决定因素为基本理论,借鉴自然地理、经济地理和文化地理的区划学说,根据各地城市发展的具体情况,对中国城市进行了地域分区。共划分3个区和18个亚区,并对每个区和亚区的范围和特征进行了简要分析。这一工作试图阐明我国城市发展的空间状况,为进一步开展中国城市的各项研究奠定一个基本的空间框架。The paper classifies Chinese cities into three regions and 18 sub-regions with explanations of the boundary and characteristics of each region and sub-region based on the three decisive factors affecting urban spatial characteristics, regional theories in natural, economic and cultural geography and urban development of cities in different regions, This is to illustrate the spatial structure of China＇s urban development and to provide a basic spatial framework for the further studies on Chinese cities.
