摘 要:保险诚信建设是当前开放的保险业亟需完成的重要任务,也是保险业做强做大的前提工作。保险理赔环节的诚信缺失问题是当前消费者投诉的焦点,也是当前保险诚信建设的重点、难点之一。尽管国内信用证主要运用于国内贸易结算,但在保险理赔环节中引入国内信用证制度,可以有效解决理赔环节中出现的问题,通过提供银行信用更好地为投保方实施制度保障,真正落实保险诚信建设工作。Credibility buildup is an important task for the insurance sector that has been opened up to foreign entrants and a prerequisite for the industry to grow bigger and stronger. The lack of credibility in insurance claims handling is the focus of consumer complaints today, and one of the important links in the credibility enhancement of the industry as well. Even though the letter of credit is mostly used in trade settlement domestically, its introduction into the claims handling process can effectively solve the current problem in claims settlement. This is to use bank credit as a guarantee to the applicant which can effectively improve the credibility of the insurance sector. The author believes that the domestic letter of credit system can be a useful tool in building up the credibility the insurance industry.
