Objective Metabolic diseases morbidity rate among employees of Inner Mongolia hospital were investigated and analyzed. Methods Questionnaire survey and physical examination were employed to get accurate information about the diseases among 1955 employees of Inner Mongolia hospital. Following items were investigated in physical examination, including height, weight, blood pressure, blood- fat, etc. Results (1)There was no statistically significance for morbidity rate of diabetes, hypertension and metabolic syndrome between female and male (P〉 0.05).On the contrary, the morbidity rate of OW/OB,IGR and blood-fat disorder of male was significantly higher than that of male. (2)Among all groups, morbidity rate of MS increased obviously with the increasing of age.Among younger group, morbidity rate of MS of male was obviously higher that of female (P〈0.05). (3)Logistic regression model was used to analyze and found that insulin resistance and smoking were more strongly correlated with metablic syndrome. Conclusion There is a relatively high morbidity rate of metabolic syndrome among employees of Inner Mongolia hospital. Overweight or obesity was the most correlated factor.Insulin resistance and smoking are more strongly correlated.
