摘　　要：本文以解读《迈向可持续的城市形态》一书为主线,介绍了国外学者研究可持续城市形态的最新成果。与该书的前一卷《紧缩城市》相比,在“什么是可持续的城市形态”和“如何实现可持续的城市形态”这两个问题上专家学者给予了更为肯定的回答。Following the clew of introducing the book ＂Achieving Sustainable Urban Form＂, this paper tries to explain the latest production of overseas scholars about the study of sustainable urban form. Compared with the book ＂The Compact City： A Sustainable Urban Form？＂, more aff＇Lrmative answers on ＂what is sustainable urban form？＂ and ＂ how to achieve the sustainable urban form？＂ are proposed.
