摘　　要：随着图书馆数字化网络化的发展,图书馆WEB页承担着越来越重要的职责,这些功能的实现都需要依赖数据库系统的支持。Oracle是以高级结构化查询语言SQL为基础的大型面向对象的关系型数据库,是目前世界最通用的数据库系统之一。该文作者经过多年的WEB开发实践认为,WEB开发语言的运行效率并不会决定整个网站的运行效率,而数据库的性能才是决定网站运行效率的主要因素。该文具体介绍了Oracle数据库在图书馆WEB页中的应用,WEB系统的设计思路以及高性能的图书馆WEB系统构造的技术实现。The development of digital library requires a good library web system, which, in turn, it requires a good database management system. Oracle, a high-quality SQL-based RDS databank, meets such demand. The author believes that the efficiency of a web-base depends on the quality and function of a databank rather than the efficiency of the language used in the development of the web-base. This article gives a detailed description of the design of an oracle databank based web system and the technological realization of the system.
