英语语调调核位置探析

摘　　要：从英语语调结构和信息结构理论出发,揭示了英语调核位置的选择主要是根据整个语调组的信息中心——主要信息或新信息在哪里而确定的,并进一步阐述了影响调核位置的因素:语言的上下文关系、讲话时的情景、心理因素(包括联想和习惯因素,以及情感状态)。Viewed from the structures of English intonation and information theory, the paper reveals that the placement of English nucleus is decided by the information center of the tone-group, namely, the whereabouts of the main or new information. Several factors affecting the placement of nucleus are also discussed, among them are linguistic context, speaking situation and psychological factors including association, habits and emotive state.
