摘　　要：通过对2003年第7届世界青年女子垒球锦标赛各队的投手与全队总体防守情况进行数理统计及综合比较分析,阐述了投手的防守在整个防守阵容中的重要作用,对于2008年奥运会夺牌争金具有一定的研究价值。研究认为,中国女垒在面临新规则变化导致进攻优势突出及欧美投手身材高大、投球技术高超的形势下,必须通过加强投手的防守技术、能力和意识的练习,增强整体防守技术水平等对策,来抑制对方的进攻,从而取得比赛的胜利。Through the method of mathematical statistics and comprehensive comparison, this paper makes analyses of the pitcherg and all teams ridding at the 7th World Young Women Softball Championship in 2003 and discusses the importance of the pitchers＇ridding in the whole ridding troop. The research is of some value for the possible victory of Chinese team at 2008 Olympics. The research shows： as a result of the new rules, attacking brings a super advantage. Besides, an obvious fact is that Euro - American pitchers are taller and stronger, with extraordinary skills. So, the Chinese women softball team must strengthen the practice of the pitchers＇ defense technique, ability and consciousness, and strengthen the whole team＇s defense level to repress the attack of the opponent and obtain the victory of the game.
