摘　　要：下一代无线通信标准将能提供无缝、高QoS、高速率的基于IP的无线业务。IEEE802.16宽带无线接入技术WiMax的出现使得无线网络向4G过渡成为可能。WiMax技术将作为宽带无线接入应用。对比了WiMax和Wi-Fi的技术,提出一个融合Wi-Fi和WiMax的组网解决方案。The next generation of wireless cornmunication standard will provide wireless services of searnlessness, high QoS, high rate which is based on IP. The emerging of IEEE802.16 broadband wireless access technology WiMax leads the wireless network towards a path to 4G. WiMax technology will apply on wireless access application. This paper provides a comparison between WiMax and Wi-Fi technology, and a networking solution is provided by combining the two technologies.
