摘　　要：首先论述了分布式空间数据库的特征,并根据这些特征简单介绍了一个分布式地理信息系统结构,然后比较深入地介绍了负载平衡及其相关算法等内容,并在设计的系统原型中实现了分布式地理信息系统各节点的负载平衡,最后讨论了如何在分布式地理信息系统中运用负载平衡理论来提高系统的性能。This paper firstly discussed the characteristics of distributed spatial database. Then it introduced the structure of a distributed GIS according to the characteristics and deeply described the load balance and relevant algorithm, etc. The designed system prototype realized the load balance of each node in distributed GIS. Finally, it discussed how to improve the performance of system applying load balance theory in distributed GIS.
