摘　　要：回顾生态足迹模型在国内外的发展历程及其在旅游科学中的应用进展,国内外旅游生态足迹的研究主要集中在旅游生态足迹理论、旅游环境承载力以及旅游地实例等方面。阐述旅游生态足迹模型优缺点,并展望其今后在指标体系的健全、理论的完善、全面界定旅游活动对资源的消耗和环境的影响、模型预测能力的加强以及旅游统计制度的完善等方面。As one of the important methods to deal with issues about sustainable development, Ecological Footprint Model （EFM） is effectively utilized in many study areas. This paper reviews the progress in EFM. The purpose aimed at its systematic application in tourism science. The foci for this study are mainly the theory of tourism ecological footprint and its academic index system. Tourism environmental bearing capacity and some practical applications in scenic sites are also considered. Then, the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the TEF. The discussion and prospect are given in the paper at last on aspects of advance of tourism ecological footprint＇s theory and tourism ecological footprint models＇ index system and the related statistic methods of tourism system, which will effectively enhance the TEF＇s forecast ability and the regional application of tourism ecological footprint.
