摘　　要：城镇化进程缓慢与社会经济发展滞后问题相交错,是西南民族地区目前发展的共有特征。寻求城镇化发展的新动力,是目前促进西南民族地区经济社会和谐发展面临的重要问题。研究认为,西南民族地区的城镇化发展应当与特色经济培育有机结合起来,通过特色经济的规模化和集群化发展来促动城镇化发展进程,从而实现城镇化与特色经济发展之间的良性互动。The counteract of the slow process of urbanization and the backward process of the social - economy was the common characteristic in the present development of the Southwest National Area. Thus, for the present, flow to fred the new impulsion of the urbanization development was an important issue in promoting the further harmony development of the social - economy in the Southwest National Area. After studying, this article held that the development of urbanization and the characteristic economy of the Southwest National Area should be organically jointed, that was, promoting the urbanization development process through the scalization and clusterization of the characteristic economy, and realizing the positive mutual activity of the urbanization and the characteristic economy development.
