摘　　要：文化是一种理念，是一种渗透，是一种境界，是一种传承，是一种铺垫，是一把利剑，是一把号角，是一面旗帜，是一种资源，是一道风景线。古今中外地球科学文化无时无刻不在陪伴着我们、指引着我们。在欧洲文艺复兴时期、近代地质学确立时期、五四新文化运动时期、六十年代地学革命时期和二十世纪下半叶，地球科学文化展示的文化底蕴意境深刻。地球科学文化在统筹人与自然和谐相处、提高全民科学素质和丰富人民群泉的精神生活方面的作用是其它任何文化都不能比拟的。Culture is a faith, a penetration, a bourn, a heritage, a piece of matting, a keen sword, a clarion, a banner, a resource and a landscape. Whether nowadays or in the past, Earth science culture accompany and direct us all the time. In periods including the Renaissance of Europe, establishment of neoteric geology, five-four new culture, geological revolution in Sixties as well as the latter half of the 20th century, Earth science culture connotes deeply. Any other culture cannot bear comparison with Earth science culture in regulating harmonious relationship between human and nature, improving people＇s earth science knowledge and enriching people＇s spirits living.
